To meet an ambitious deadline for an energetic entrepreneur, we quickly created a simple website designed to jump-start a movement. We also designed a strong identity that would set 1MillionShirts apart from the client’s well-known existing brand, which had received substantial press in Fast Company, Wired and other media outlets. As awareness of the effort to collect a million t-shirts grew, so did a community, inspired to activism. While external pressures brought the nonprofit’s operations to an early close, the project shows how a simple site can ignite interest and action.
