Double Threat

A creative force for digital greatness.

My Story

I hold down the northernmost outpost of nGen in Vancouver. I got my start as a graphic designer, then moved into the interactive world, where I was a part of the creative team at Veer, ExpressionEngine developer and owner of my own web design firm. One current obsession is with the potential of new platforms to evolve electronic magazines and how my passion for them might be a part of it.

Most recently, my wife and I wrote, photographed, designed and coded our way across the U.S. on an eight-month trip in a motorhome. You pick up a lot of lessons on a journey like that, but I’ll leave you with two you can use right away: While I personally never want to sleep in one again, Walmart parking lots are your friend. Oh, and never stop in Great Falls, Montana.

Believe It Or Not

My wife and I are shedding possessions so we can live like roving nomads. No bills. No baggage. Got a couch we can crash on?

Odd Job

Photographer at Sears Portrait Studio

On the Nightstand

iPad and headphones. The rest is, er… private.

On the Bookshelf

Assorted Lonely Planet books, obsolete tech books and a collection of graphic design classics. I’m still trying to get all the good ones off the shelf and in the iPad. Books weigh too much for this lifestyle.

Guilty Pleasure

Steven Seagal films. And yes they are “films.”

Perverse iTunes Purchase

Michael McDonald/The Doobie Brothers

Greatest Fear

Being shackled to one city. Especially one covered in snow more than half the year.

My Dreams Will Be Realized When
