Pop!Tech Hub
Pop!Tech Hub is a social network and collaboration platform for people interested in vanguard-edge emerging ideas, trends, tools and technologies, and their application to significant social challenges.
Approach
Pop!Tech is a conference and a community of people collaborating and talking about science, technology and ideas. To facilitate the groups’ connections, they asked nGen Works to design Pop!Tech Hub, a digital gathering place for people from around the world who are working together to change the world. Our creation needed to adhere to established Pop!Tech brand guidelines and the overall Swiss-style design of poptech.org. As important was achieving the goal of allowing people to easily find information about projects they’re interested in, join groups and connect with each other. Our approach included bold strokes and typefaces in sync with the modern grid branding, with bright hits of color. We created a simple interface with common treatments to distinguish the site content and actions available to the user, and organized relevant data to make it easy to get to within a project or profile. The design also allows for simple signup and project creation, with the ability to add bits as needed to keep or get new team members involved.
