Approach

A family in search of a place to live in greater harmony with nature led them to western North Carolina and the genesis of Green Mountain Farm. They came to nGen Works for help in establishing their brand and their home on the web. As a start-up company, Green Mountain needed a way to keep future partners and consumers informed about their efforts to promote local, sustainable food production. The site’s design also needed to be kept open for molding into future designs that could accommodate additional products and information. For the farm’s logo, we created a mark that met the owners’ requirements of suggesting nature without being a predictably trendy organic symbol. Our solution was an old-fashioned tractor that represents simpler times when the foods we ate were more pure and less processed. The site’s design uses textures for a hand-made, natural feel, and soft illustration that speaks to the farm’s peaceful spirit. The owners see Green Mountain Farm as more than a way to grow food; it’s a gentle, even mystical way of life that they’re passionate about sharing. The site we created gives the Green Mountain Farm vision room to grow.
