nGen Works Invited to Speak at the University of Florida

We found out this week that the University of Florida would like for little old nGen to speak to their faculty and students on the benefits of using web standards and team-based project management.

The talks are tentatively scheduled for August in what we have been told will be “the summer of the web!” For some reason I’m thinking this is going to turn into a Geeks Gone Wild video.

As we get more details we’ll let you know. Hopefully any of you near Gainesville can make the trip.

I would love to come to this, hopefully it will be in late August after classes are back in session. Looking forward to it.

That would be great if you could make it. As soon as I know more about the date I’ll post it here.

Hi Phil!

We are planning this event as part of a UF Web Administration initiative to promote web best practices among people currently working on official UF websites. I’m seeing entirely too much table-based design out there!

The idea is to get “back to basics” with web design and development. I’ve seen your work, Phil, and I’d have to say that you’d be better suited behind the podium instead of in front of it! (Nice job with the Agrusa site, for instance.)

We will likely have an RSVP for this event so as to ensure seats for everyone, but you would be welcome to attend.
