nGen Express Update - Time For A Tune-Up
A few months back we launched nGen Express. We’ve been asked how it’s going, so welcome to update time!
First, we’ve learned a ton. People were really excited out of the gate and we had quite a few people sign up. Not many actually started their projects, though. So that sucked. 8^)
To find out what the problem was we did what communication professionals should do. We spent time listening to prospects. Especially those who bailed at purchase.
The common thread is confusion over what the heck we’re selling. Seems we fell into the oldest client trap of them all. We thought nGen Express was simple to understand, but it wasn’t. In fact it was downright confusing.
The clients we did get each had a conversation with me where I explained the process. Obviously that level of interaction for each customer isn’t sustainable or profitable.
With that in mind, we sat down to figure out how to simplify nGen Express. The big shift in thinking is we’re selling a professional comp, not a redesigned web page. The word “comp” seemed to solidify for prospects what they were getting. We’re also simplifying the pricing and some other areas based on the input we received.
We’ll let you know once we’ve got some revisions live.
Until then, get back to work. Nothing to see here!
