The New nGen Works Survey

Thanks for all of the positive feedback and suggestions on the new proposal video blog post. This time I’m focusing on the new client survey. Once we have the new survey wrapped up, I’ll be happy to send everyone a preview.

Again, this is off the cuff, so enjoy me struggling through 15 minutes of talking to myself. All the best!

Carl,

Really enjoyed the two (so far) video blogs. It’s great to see your company doing so well… it’s quite obvious as to why with these videos.

Even though I’m sure many of us have taken a peak at physical copies of proposals/project planners (like HappyCog’s and others), it’s really more enjoyable (and inspirational) to see you talk it through. So thanks for sharing.

Carl,

Like Ben, I’ve really enjoyed your vlogs. It’s great to hear transparent dialogue about sensitive business issues.

We (Bust Out Solutions) strongly believe that relationships win projects, not proposal. That said, have you found that your prospective client survey aids in relationship building by asking the tough questions, or has it limited initial contact because it might cause discomfort (which is probably a good thing)?

Looking forward to your response, and if you’re willing we’d love to take a look at both the proposal and survey from your talks.

Be good,
J.J.

@Bruce – Consider it yours once we’ve finished it sir.

@Benjamin – Thanks for the kind words. We’ll keep posting these up there as long as everyone seems to be enjoying them.

@ J.J. – Glad you’re enjoying them. We agree it’s all about relationships. I think it actually aids in the relationship building by causing the discomfort, if that makes sense. Prospects know we’re being honest. Happy to share the proposal and survey, once the survey is done.

@Judson – I feel like we just shared a special moment. Once we have the survey finalized I’ll send it over.

Thanks for mentioning Kelly Goto, Carl. I pulled out my old copy of Web ReDesign | Workflow that Works. Amazing how long we’ve had a need to acknowledge these basics to keep projects running smoothly and achieving success.

Kelly’s book is awesome, still amazingly relevant. It’s just so damned hard to be that buttoned up! But when you are it makes all the difference.
