The End of The Window

Our now empty window

The time has finally come. Last week, we decided to lay the window to rest. For close to 5 years we’ve put a different message in the front window every week. In part to draw a little attention, but mostly for something silly to do. You can see some of our favorite windows in this Flickr set.

Window, Goodnight and Good Luck.

After all that time, work, exacto-knifing, paper-printing and taping we’ve come to a conclusion – we’re just sick of it. That’s really all there is to it. Something that was once a fun joke and we enjoyed doing got to be a task. Doing something that isn’t fun is a bummer, so why keep doing it?

Up Next

Along with being bored of it, we needed to make room for the ever-expanding list of non-client activities we’re tackling. Happy Webbies has really taken off and we’ve got a few other surprises up our sleeves. It feels great to stay motivated and inspired by fun projects even when they don’t pay the bills. We’ll keep the blog updated with our top secret progress as things are finished.

Oh, that clever window. You just never knew what he was going to say. That’s what I loved about him. RIP good buddy… snif

I drug my wife on many an alternative route home from San Marco just to show her what that window was saying… She never found them as funny as I did, so she is greatful for this decisions.

I am not, but I understand the reason… I guess.
