Jacksonville Web Development events: Social Media and CSS3

There are two cool web development events coming up in the next few weeks. First up is the September meeting of Refresh Jacksonville. Rhea Drysdale will discuss Why Social Media Matters.

Social media used to be a playground for people with too much time on their hands. These days it’s forcing the major search engines to adjust the way they rank sites. It’s quickly becoming imperative that anyone seeking a successful online presence dip at least a toe in the massive sea of social networks.

Then in October, the JaxPHP group will host a discussion of CSS3. Alan Doucette will be covering CSS3 in all its glory. This meeting of the JaxPHP group will also include website critiques and time to network with your peers.

CSS3 is then next version of CSS. Browser support is still very spotty but I will give you the low down on what it is capable of and what browsers support it.
