We are proud to announce that our calendar project with the Cultural Council is live.
ExperienceJax is a community driven calendar that keeps you informed about the arts and entertainment options throughout Jacksonville. The core theme of the calendar is allowing everyone to contribute to the events that are listed. From a poetry reading in Riverside to a metal band at the beaches, all aspects of the city’s culture can be represented.
Other calendars in the city do a good job of showing a specific genre of events, or what’s happening in a specific area of town. But until now, no calendar made it possible to get a true picture of everything that was happening everywhere.
While we’ll be keeping an eye on key metrics, the real test will be to see if it gets more people going to more events. Don’t ask how we’ll measure that, we’ll leave that up to our friends at the Cultural Council.
So go find out what’s happening tonight, or better yet let people know about an event you don’t see on the calendar.
If you happen to be reading this outside of Jax but think the calendar is cool, we’ll be releasing CityCal in the very near future. So let us know who to get in touch with in your community and we’ll see if we can get you hooked up.
