Breaking the rules for Hashrocket
Posted by: Carl Smith on Monday January 21, 2008
Sometimes an opportunity comes along that causes you to juggle your standard processes for the chance to make something extra awesome. That’s exactly what happened when Obie Fernandez called us. He was launching a new company and wanted nGen to make it come to life. The core offering of the new company was launching a web app in 3 days. Yeah, 3 days. To be honest, if anyone else said that we’d have laughed like crazy. But if you know Obie, and met the team he had assembled, you wouldn’t. Plus, Obie is a big dude so laughing at him isn’t advised.
We put together a simple agreement about how we would work together. Then we created the identity and website faster than we have ever developed any project. In fact, we finished ahead of our aggressive schedule because everyone worked so well together. While we don’t plan on doing accelerated projects like this often, it’s nice to know we can do great things quickly when we find the right client.
So if you want an application built at warp speed, or just need someone to save your project from looming disaster, checkout Hashrocket.

Carl, your post begs this question: Was the Hashrocket identity and website (including CMS and written copy) turned around in 3 days itself?

I said contact them if you want that kind of turnaround. Let’s just say they were happy with the timeframe. 8^)
(And yes, I was waiting on that question.)

Well, building a clickdummy with a basic design in three days is not that difficult. Anyway: as a business idea it´s quite creative…
