A New Concept In Conference Promotion
Maybe I’m late to the party, but I think Hashrocket has done something extremely innovative in promoting BizConf.
The weeks leading up to the conference, Obie Fernandez interviewed several of the speakers about their presentations. Videos of the interviews were posted on the conference site allowing prospective attendees to window shop a little before registering.
Obviously there are some logistical hurdles, but getting a sense of the speaker’s personality and what they want someone to learn kinda crushes a 200 word summary and a bio pic.

That’s brilliant. Especially with multiple tracks, it sucks to see when you miss out on a really good speaker. Nice work Obie.
